Norton's Notes

For forty years Valerie and I have been visiting countries on four continents. We 'just happened' to be there in communist and immediately post communist days, during civil wars and periods of violent civil unrest and 'enjoyed' the usual hazards of life in those nations.

During these times we have found that God is totally reliable, even when we didn't have a clue what he was doing. We found that Jesus was always there, even when we felt abandoned, and that the Holy Spirit power is quite 'out of this world'. We hope that some of the stories will help you to discover this for yourself. Dr S M Lockridge wrote   "I wonder, do you know him" He is worth knowing!

Life doesn't stand still and we have moved  to a new church, Bawtry Evangelical Free Church. Like many moves, it was hard to work through but we believe that this is where God wants us for now. Some of the sermons I have preached there are available as zip files.

Along the way Valerie collected some interesting recipes that you may like to try out.

Attached to this site are separate websites for

Our Grandson Kieron who has cerebral palsy. There is lots of information here about his early arrival from mum's point of view and the various physio therapies he has received. His smile has won him lots of friends who have helped him in many ways. read and be encouraged!

Christine Morris, a close friend working in India with her own  mission, "Educare India". Its all quite exciting. do have a look.

Darren and Susan Wall, who travelled with Graham to Bulgaria and is now working with the Overseas Missionary Fellowship in Cambodia.

Rev Eric Ridyard's writings. Eric was minister at Retford Baptist Church for 31 years

"The Restoration of Eden" Project in Burma which we are interested in following our visits there in 2002 and 2003.

The Evangelical Bible Seminary of Yangon, that we visited in 2002 and 2003,  whose ministry we respect.

I have also created websites for our friends
